The running costs shown above are based on a 9 kW sauna heater, with a 30-minute heat-up period and a 30-minute sauna session, using the current Ofgem electricity price cap of 26.11p/kWh - as of July 2026.
These figures represent a conservative estimate, as they assume the heater operates continuously at its full 9 kW output throughout the entire heat-up and usage period. In practice, once the desired temperature is reached, the thermostat cycles the heating elements on and off, meaning actual electricity consumption may be lower.
