Frequently asked questions about hot tubs

Can I see your hot tubs at a showroom?

Yes, we have a fantastic hot tub showroom in Nottingham, easily accessible from J26 of the M1. Alternatively, we can video call with you for a virtual tour.

How much should I spend on a hot tub?

A difficult question to answer, but for a good quality small hot tub of 3-4 seats we'd recommend spending no more than £3000 - £4,000.

For a larger spa of 5-7 seats we'd recommend spending up to £8,000 - £9,000 for something with serious hydrotherapy performance, but around the £4,000 - £6,000 mark for something that's a great balance of features, performance and value.

How do I maintain my hot tub?

Keep your water balanced, clean your filters, and change the water every few months. Use the right spa chemicals to keep water clear and protect your hot tub for the long run.

Can I put a hot tub on patio or decking?

Yes. You can place a hot tub on a patio or decking as long as it’s completely level and strong enough to support the filled weight. Use your model’s dry weight and water capacity in our specs to check the load. If you’re unsure, get a builder to confirm. 

How much electricity does a hot tub use? 

Typically 7–10 kWh per day to maintain 37–38°C - roughly £1.50-2/day for most 13A tubs and £2-3/day for larger 32A models, depending on tariff.

Usage varies with size, insulation, weather and how often you soak; add a heat pump and you could cut electricity use by up to ~70%.

What's the difference between 13A and 32A hot tubs? 

13A (Plug & Play) hot tubs run from a standard RCD-protected 3-pin socket. Typically a single pump with a 2kW heater, so the heater and jets can’t run together. Easy to install and great for lighter use.

32A hot tubs are hard-wired on a dedicated circuit. Usually multiple pumps and a 3kW heater, so you can run heat and jets at the same time for stronger, consistent performance - especially in winter.
